Global Studies Committee, Grove City College, August 2017-2020. A standing committee of the college tasked with working alongside the Office of International Education to coordinate, manage, develop, and encourage global educational opportunities for students and faculty. Actively served on the policy and procedures subcommittee.
Middle States Accreditation Committee, Grove City College, August 2016-2017. Actively served on the student learning outcomes subcommittee, collecting assessment data and writing content for the final Middle States review report.
Instructional Technology Committee, Grove City College, August 2015 -2020. A standing committee of the college that regularly reviews best practices for integrating technology into the classroom and makes specific recommendations to the college. The committee also provides leadership and guidance on the development of online courses and programs, and it surveys student and faculty needs to make suggestions to the Instructional Technology department for improving faculty development and student support.
Student Research Committee, Grove City College, August 2015 to 2017. A standing committee of the college that makes specific recommendations to faculty members, departments, and programs on how to foster student research and faculty-student research collaboration.
Library Services Collaborative Classroom Committee, New York Institute of Technology, January-April 2013. The administration put out a call for proposals for designing a cutting-edge collaborative classroom, and I was invited to join the library staff and a select group of other professors from Education to write a proposal for a new information technology classroom space.
Academic Quality Assurance Committee, New York Institute of Technology, September 2012-2014. A special ad hoc committee reporting to the Academic Senate, jointly chaired by the Provost and the Dean of NYCOM (NYiT’s medical college). This committee reviewed program policies and issued recommendations to improve quality of instruction and learning at the institution.
New English Program Development Committee, New York Institute of Technology, September 2011-2013. A special committee of the English Department tasked with redesigning the English major in ways that linked traditional literary studies with technical and professional communications and emerging media studies.
Global and Partially Virtual Subcommittee of the 2030 Steering Committee, New York Institute of Technology, March-April 2010. A subcommittee of the 2030 Steering Committee tasked with developing a comprehensive matrix for measuring and assessing NYiT’s global presence. The subcommittee developed four matrices: global footprint, global curriculum, global research, and global service.

ASC 2030 Committee, New York Institute of Technology, July 2005-August 2006. A committee charged with contributing specific information and recommendations to upper administration in service of the larger 2030 Strategic Plan Campaign to improve NYiT at all levels.

Worked with other English faculty to upgrade the writing labs, develop creative uses of computer and communications technology in the classroom, and train teachers of writing in the various uses of computers in the writing and literature classroom.
